Description
Gardeners take care of gardens but also carry out small works or repairs in order to put into practice the garden concept that the client has envisioned. It is a more diverse task than it may seem at first glance. Thus, the gardener is the professional responsible for the care, maintenance and creation of gardens, green areas and landscaping. The main activities of a gardener include:
- Planting flowers, trees and shrubs
- Pruning plants, trees and hedges
- Watering and fertilizing the soil
- Pest and disease control in plants
- Cleaning and maintenance of green areas
- Lawn mowing
- Soil preparation for new plantings
- Installation of irrigation systems
The gardener can work in residences, businesses, condominiums, parks, squares and other public or private spaces.
